To be two be two be two
Jake turned 2 today. We’ll take our bows for a successful couple of years. Off to the Adirondack Balloon Festival in Glens Falls, NY this weekend with many more pictures to come.

Happy Birthday Jake!
We had his party on Sunday but this minute is when he came into the world a year ago.
As to his twelfth month: we took our first walk across the George Washington Bridge; he now has 6 teeth; he’s getting the hang of walking (still holding onto furniture and people but toddles on his own with the help of his pushcart).

Back in January, Dorota and I went to Northern California for 10 days to celebrate her birthday and the honeymoon we never had when we were married last year. We were in SF/Oakland with old friends of mine, Napa Valley drinking wine, Palo Alto visiting an old friend of Dorota’s, and then driving the Pacific Coast Highway to stay in Gualala and hang out in Mendocino. Even though it was cold and wet for most of the trip, we had a great time away from NYC (including particularly fantastic meals at St. Orres Bed & Breakfast and Greystone, the Culinary Institute of America restaurant in St. Helena).
